If I Fail by Cartel, a band I discovered while watching The Hills. The thing with The Hills is that because its an MTV reality show you'd expect a lot of Rihanna and stuff from the same genre but because it is indeed an MTV show you'll also find cool music that they only use bits and pieces of for transitions. They're actually pretty good. I'm not going to go into the lyrics and break it down for you.

Typical.

Time to go, this is goodbye she said,
does it ever get easier to live like this?
And to kiss the cheek, i can't kiss you anymore, and I, I would honestly love you now,
but i would lovingly let you down...

Oh, i have the hardest time resisting you, and, oh, if you...

If you feel the same way,
then how can we be friends?
He's right you know, we can't go on like this.
And I try to give you everything
and if I fail, well then I fail, but at least I gave you something...

I can put my trust in giving up the heart that makes the difference,
and how can you afford to settle down?
When I, I would promise to love you now,
but I will lovingly let you down...

Oh, i have the hardest time resisting you, and, oh, if you...

If you feel the same way,
then how can we be friends?
He's right you know, we can't go on like this.
And I try to give you everything
and if I fail, well then I fail, but at least I gave you something...

It's better than silence,
give me one good reason.

(You know)

To leave this in silence,
you don't have a good reason.

If you feel the same way,
then how can we be friends?
He's right you know, we can't go on like this.
And I try to give you everything
and if I fail, well then I fail, but at least I gave you something...

It's better than silence, it's better than silence.

The song that won the Academy Award for Best Song
Falling Slowly from the Irish musical "Once"

Glen Hansard - Falling Slowly Lyrics

I don't know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves out

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You've made it now

Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you won

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now

Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along

I know I uploaded this song ages ago, I am uploading it again, cos I've been hearing it on the radio. Colbie Cailat tries to describe the feeling she gets when she sees THAT guy = in short KINILIG siya. Because there's no american word for it.

My iPOD is officially dead. It makes me sad because my travel stories are recorded in my playlists. I make playlists containing songs I hear in each country I go to. I started making them in 2002 when CD writers were still super cool.

Bubbly was part of my 2007 album cos it super reminds me of driving form Fairfax to DC in my cousin's fancy car, raiding Tyson's Corner, having Potbelly Sandwiches and sunny Virginia.

I'm excited for Fall Out Boy. I'm guessing that they will start with 'This Ain't A Scene, It An Arms Race' because it sounds like a good opening song, I don't know why. These are the songs that I want them to play, actually ok lang if they don't play everything here, as loong as they play Of All The Gin Joints In The World.

Check out 'What's This?' from the 3D version of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas, which was released last year. The soundtrack has the same songs in the original soundtrack but done by today's artists such as Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy etc.

Aimee Mann's Save Me, the song is so good that it actually inspired a movie (Magnolia). The song also put in the soundtrack. :)

Basically the world is amok with folks who have issues with intimacy--the so-called "freaks who suspect they could never love anyone". And one day you wake up and realize that you're sick to death of looking for that one person who's not an emotional basket case. The narrator wants her new relationship to work out, but she's unsure, because her man would have to practically have superpowers to help her forget all shit she's been through.
I particularly love the last verse-- because, of course, the universe is also brimming with folks who are so fucked up that the only people they can love are people who don't love, period.

You look like a perfect fit
For a girl in need of a tourniquet
But can you save me?

Come on and save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone

'Cause I can tell you know what it's like
A long farewell of the hunger strike
But can you save me?

Come on and save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone.

You struck me dumb, like radium
Like Peter Pan, or Superman
You have come to save me

Come on and save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
Except the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
But the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone

Come on and save me
Why don't you save me?
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
Except the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
Except the freaks
Who could never love anyone

Each of these songs has uhm a music video that the avid 90's mtv watcher will probably never forget. Before MTV was bombarded with your boy bands and girl groups, we had these songs :)

Don't argue with me, I remember the 90's this way, and this is from someone who watched too much mtv, a better list can be found here
